At last the sun is here.

It’s been a wet, cold spring, but at last the sun has arrived and it was time to head out and do some painting- en plein air. We (my wife Kathryn and I), spent a wonderful day up in Northumberland by the banks of the River Breamish in the Ingram Valley. The Ingram valley nestles in the foothills of the Cheviots and is a superb place to relax and re connect with nature. There are Chaffinches, Pied Wagtails and other birds and the greens of the trees and yellows of the gorse are stunning. The sun was hot and the colours vibrant. It felt so good to be out painting again with the sound of running water soothing my mind. My painting is in the Gallery section - please take a look.
