D31Art Gallery Summer Exhibition. Our Changing World. July 2021.

I have a painting accepted for this exhibition at D31 Art Gallery in Doncaster. The painting is called The Flesh Tone Machines and I’m really pleased to have it accepted as part of the “Our Changing World” Exhibition. I really recommend popping in to see the show as there are many different styles of work from all kinds of emerging and established artists.

Our mobile devices and computers constantly glean , store and use the data which we blindly give them - 24/7. Reconfiguring abstractions or “reflections” of ourselves with huge cultural, privacy and data protection concerns. Are we blindly walking into a world where who we are has been refracted beyond recognition, our essences stolen by relentless algorithms and fed back to us is the form of products ? Peter Wankowicz, an uncompromising artist of modern times and the impact of technology seeks to understand and describe such questions through his paintings.
